The Shining
The opening shot is a huge long zoom in shot, and take us to a stunning natural view, mountains, lake and a narrow road. Then the camera followed a car drive into the forest. The following shot kept like 3mins, makes people curious where it wants to go. The other remarkble thing is the music, the melody is not a relax type, it a little dark, also a some terror feeling, makes me feel the movie is about some human's mantel explore. The end, the car stopped in front of a house. What the house for? there is a lot car pose by the house, what is inside the house? Is it possible a secret club? then the movie begin.

Fanatic For Art
 |
Luscious, dark, mystical…you can use any of these words to describe her paint, but they are still not  enough to express the feelings that when you saw the art by your own eyes. These paint are all created by a young girl , her name is Shayna Yasuhara.
Her paint already has more than 5 solo shows in different city since 2009, She also created a female urban collective "paint pen in purse", as a curator, she held almost 20 group exhibitions by different theme in this country. But the most unordinary part of her is, not like other school graduated artiest, Shayna's art creation is totally untrained.
"I always love painting, but actually I didn't think I was good at art, until I keep doing it for fun." Shayna said that although  she was got B in high school's art class  and not bring much confidence to her, she still love painting. In university, her major was criminal justice, but during that time, she draw almost hundreds sketches. "The more I painting, the more I feel confident."
Any material's texture with lines and wrinkles makes her imagine,  Shayna believe art is more with talent and how you feel the world but not just a skill. also she like Japanese cartoon, cute girly character, all these gives her inspiration. Maybe that is why her paint has a lot tree, wolf, cat and other candy color animals.
"It is just kind of be insider imagination of a kid."she said.
Besides her own painting work, Shayna's passion about art also distribute on  "paint pen in purse". "Lower Haters","Art of the Can",and current show "Ice Cream Girl", all these group art exhibitions are given theme by her. For each show, she will seek thousands of artist's website, connect every single painter she interested in and invite them, and find a gallery which appropriate and have the willingness for cooperation. Until now, there are more than 20 shows in different city held by Shayna and "paint pen in purse".
Speak about the reason of  launching "paint pen in purse", Shayna said she was wants all the great artist stay in her hometown Boston instead of leave. but now since all the shows already held from east coast to west coast, Shayna 's collective brings all the artist together.
"A lot artist are shy, they need somebody to encourage or do the publicity for them…I just like and find it rewarding to help them."
"If you look up a America of Unit State's map, my goal is to have artist and shows every where."
Like other normal girls, Shayna loves little animals. Her favorite animal is bear, although she never put it into paint. She also has a dog, a cat and a sweet boyfriend who is an musician. These is how she describe her ordinary day: I ride bicycle back home, watch TV, eats dinner and play with my dog and cat for a while, he is doing his music, and I start search great artist from internet or create theme and paint for next show.
As a professional curator and artist, Shayna never plan to earn money from the exhibitions the she held. Actually Shayna has her official daytime job, she is a commentator for fashion visual merchandising.Although this job is enjoyable , Shayna still want one day she can focus on her painting and have an open art studio for people come and visit.
"I would be bored if I didn't do my project, I would feel something was missing if I didn't have this aspect in my life."

3 beginnings
3 beginnings
More than 1000 students graduate from art school every year in San Francisco,Shayna apperently not one of them, but she draw almost 100 pice of art after high school, and 17 solo shows were held in different country.
"They said they like it, but you know, that's what they would say to me. But I think it's pretty well received mostly by females, by girls." Shayna said that with a modest and sweet smile. But the truth is, not only loved by females, Shayna's paint also participate more than 17 solo shows in different country since she was 23 years old.
Sweet, dark, candy color...You can use any of these worlds to describe her paint, but they are still not enough to express the feelings that when you see the art by your own eyes. They are all created by a young girl who are totally untrained, her name is Shayna Yasuhara.

TED's respons
TED is a really great show.I watched it before when I was lived in beijing and learn a lot new interesting information from this lectures show. But this time,I personally can't agree with the whole part of the theory.I do agree online game can bring people's most concentration out a lot, and gamers incredibly stick on chasing the final achievement. But all this is just about game,I never see anyone who  can focus and success on game also can pay the same enthusiasm on real life, contrarily, they pay too much time on online game's fake life instead of to face real problem in their life.As soon as the gamers feel depress in real life, they will remember how good they are in online game, and then, they will go back to gaming and enjoy the success feeling on games, then the real life problem will still there. I even heard some kids spends too much time on game, and drop their collage grade. Some gamers  can't make friends in real life, and don't even mention the violent tendencies from the online game.So games are fun,but just remenber they are not for real.

Respons 3
Is TV still the most important media today? According to some research data, young people  spend 2~4 hours on internet per day .The TV time is reducing obviously. On internet, the informations which include bloody violence ,sex are like ocean.Instead of being exposured to TV passively, kids can choose the internet by themselves .That will bring us a new problem:we can change the TV channel ,but how can we change the internet information?
Respons 2
TV rating system is also necessary.we all know that flim has  been rated,we respect the art directors,in US,there are 6 classes for movie. But why not rate TV?Acturrly,TV is more easy to be exposed in front of kids. They don't have to show their ID,by holding a little romote control, the whole TV programs are as them choosen freely.Like my nephew,he always know which channle is broadcasting his favorite cartoon, and which channel has a lot of gun shoot movie. He is 7 years old,and he believes the people in TV is always right. So,if kids can control the TV so easy, they might watch a lot "adult only"TV without their parents know.
Response 1
The whole media industry should takes a lot responsibility of young generation's behavior. Based on the second research,it seems not quantity but the quality of TV will influence children's behavior, but is that means the data and conclusion from the first research goes wrong? No,because the whole media industry is operate by drawing people's attention and advertising revenue. So the eyeballs economy push TV producer put more sex, violent scenes in TV programs, even news. For example, journalist report the Oscar prize with asking a movie star's sex tape instead of her movie;some male star killed his girlfriend in bikini by gun shoot. The TV cammra always want to catch the most dramatic thing in our life.We really should ask what do we have in TV,What does it bring to us besides attract our attention with instinct.

Summary of Economist's article
The Economist magazine posted a question that"who killed the news paper?"and gave several examples about the print news industry in different countries and tried to analyze and answer the question.
Deepest trouble of newspaper is in America,For example, one of the most top 10 popular websites Craigslist which called "newspaper killer"has contributed a sharp decline in newspaper's revenue because of it's free use classified advertising websites. And also, the new generation was lured by television and web.All of these reasons hit American newspapers.
But the US experience is not being replicated elsewhere, such as in the developing world ,there is expansion rather than decline.
In Japan, the three biggest-selling daily newspaper's old are holding up well by subscription. In Russia, newspaper were traditionally used as propaganda tools, and 60% of them is controded and staked by government. But still, young people from these two countries are get their news online which is droping the population of the newspaper.
On the other hand,In India, the newspaper market is still growing fast.In 2008,India become the leader of the paid-for daily circulation by 110m copies sold each day and 32% increased in advertising expenditure.
Altough newspaper is still popular in some developing countries like india,It is apparently dropping out of young people, especially with the under 30 group.

about my name
Everyone have their name. Most of them love to put some meanings in their name, like my father gives my name "lian"which in china means a lake full of water after rain.Chinese people always wants their woman being soft and gentle, but I like the strong and brave part of my personality, even though these might the reason I am still single and kicking the man away, haha~
I have been tried to pick an english name for myself, but none of them is sounds like me."April"?I like the season and the poetic of it,but isn't it still soft and sweet too much?"Claire"?I like the pronunciation and Capital C,but it's sounds like I feel I am soooo clever."Joan"? actually I like this one pretty much, sounds like she is an independent woman, but a little bit not easy going. So I just follow my own name"liana",even it is hard to remember and sounds like my grandma's name.
So this is me,with a easy but weird pronunciation name, hope we both can get use of it.And what is your name my new friend? :)
