Summary of Economist's article

The Economist magazine posted a question that"who killed the news paper?"and gave several examples about the print news industry in different countries and tried to analyze and answer the question.
Deepest trouble of newspaper is in America,For example, one of the most top 10 popular websites Craigslist which called "newspaper killer"has contributed a sharp decline in newspaper's revenue because of it's free use classified advertising websites. And also, the new generation was lured by television and web.All of these reasons hit American newspapers.
But the US experience is not being replicated elsewhere, such as in the developing world ,there is expansion rather than decline.
In Japan, the three biggest-selling daily newspaper's old are holding up well by subscription. In Russia, newspaper were traditionally used as propaganda tools, and 60% of them is controded and staked by government. But still, young people from these two countries are get their news online which is droping the population of the newspaper.
On the other hand,In India, the newspaper market is still growing fast.In 2008,India become the leader of the paid-for daily circulation by 110m copies sold each day and 32% increased in advertising expenditure.
Altough newspaper is still popular in some developing countries like india,It is apparently dropping out of young people, especially with the under 30 group.
